PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Used as a locking compound for direct application to lightly oiled components. Replaces spring washers and lock nuts. Allows for disassembly using the correct tools. Also prevents rusting or corrosion. Non-drip consistency for clean, economic application.

 

APPLICATION

Apply sufficient adhesive to coat the treads. The adhesive will start to cure on exclusion of air from the bonding system. Observe handling and strength times stated below.

Uses

Bond It A43 THREADLOCK can be used as a locking compound for direct application to lightly oiled components, thus reducing the need for pre-treatment. Also suitable as a standard anaerobic threadlocker for fine to medium pitch threads.

Preparation

Remove heavy oil and grease contamination. Best results are obtained on clean parts.

Application

Apply sufficient adhesive to coat the threads. The adhesive will start to cure on exclusion of air from the bonding system. Observe handling and strength times stated below.

Bonding Time

Assuming room temperature is +20oC.

- Handling: < 15 minutes.

- Full strength: 24 hours.

Limitations

A43 THREADLOCK is designed for metal bonding. Users should satisfy themselves as to the products efficacy when used in conjunction with engineering rubbers and plastics. Not recommended for use with accelerators. The strength of the Threadlock bond will be substantially lower on Stainless Steel. On certain grades it may not work at all without the use of an activator. It is the user’s responsibility to check suitability of this product with their particular application.

Colour

THREADLOCK is blue in colour.

Container Size

Available in A 50g plastic bottle.

Shelf Life

Minimum shelf life 12 months from date of manufacture whenstored at 20oC in unopened bottles.

Storage Conditions

Store in a closed upright container between +3 and +20°C in dry dark conditions. At low temperatures the shelf life will be prolonged.

Disposal of Containers

Do not leave empty containers where residue could be harmful to children, animals or the environment. Replace lids and remove any containers to a central disposal point in accordance with local regulations.

Caution: Hydroquinone Monomethyl Ether, Acetyl, Phenylhydrazine.

Please refer to separate material safety data sheet for full handling, use and storage instructions. Keep out of reach of children. It is the users responsibility to determine suitability for use. If in doubt contact our Technical Department for advice.
