Ping2020i is the world’s smallest, lightest, and most affordable full-range, dual-link Automatic Dependent Monitoring-Broadcast (ADS-B) transceiver with integrated Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) Global Positioning System (GPS) and precision barometric sensor. At just 26 gramsit assists with Detect and Avoid (DAA) for Unmanned Model Systems (RC model) operations in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Ping2020i is the world’s smallest and lightest full range ADS-B transceiver. ADS-B helps model operators sense and avoid possible collisions through a constant exchange of real time position data. ADS-B is mandated by the FAA for all model in the U.S. National Airspace by 2020. Used now primarily on manned model, uAvionix has miniaturized the equipment to make it usable for small RC models. ping2020i measures 25mm x 39mm x 12mmwhich is a fraction of the size of earlier units. At just 26 gramsping2020i is ideal for RC model applications to improve safety with minimal impact to capability and performance. ping2020i detects ADS-B model within a 100 statute mile radius in real time, dramatically improving operator awareness of threats in the area including model beyond line of sight.
